Weee recycling plants
WEEE
recycling plants
Our plants for WEEE recovery, designed with particular focus on categories R2 and R4, ensure continuous and reliable in-line treatment cycles, achieving complete metal recovery.
Key strengths
Modular systems
The treatment technologies allow to achieve the particle size and degree of separation best suited to company needs. A wide range of separation accessories can be integrated at any time to maximize the recovery and valorization of secondary raw materials.
Mechanical treatment
Panizzolo solutions apply only mechanical and in-line treatment cycles, optimizing the process in terms of simplicity, costs, and production results.
Low management costs
Delivered as turnkey solutions, Panizzolo plants guarantee operating costs below the market average, increasing productivity and improving overall profitability.
Centralised management
The Panizzolo software ensures centralized control of all plant technologies. It automatically monitors and adjusts process parameters, providing operators with a simple and intuitive touchscreen interface.
Treatment flexibility
Thanks to specific patented elements, the machines can adapt the type and size of the input material according to the scrap and customer needs. The plants guarantee high performance in processing Large Household Appliances (R2) and WEEE IT and consumer electronics (R4), ensuring quality outputs.

Shredding and grinding
The production layout is defined according to customer needs and the type of WEEE to be treated. The process can start from shredding and manual sorting up to grinding and separation of the remaining metallic components.
To ensure the best recovery results, Panizzolo works with the customer to analyze the type of waste and hourly quantities, identifying the most suitable technologies to achieve production goals.
The refining cycle
The Panizzolo refining plant completes the WEEE recovery cycle, treating the output of metals mixed with inerts from eddy current separators and transforming it into valuable material.
The process, entirely mechanical, uses patented refiner mills capable of withstanding steels and abrasive materials. Treatment takes place in-line and ends with the separation of copper, aluminium, and brass granules. The outputs, free from impurities, are classified as secondary raw materials, ready to be reintroduced into production cycles.

Treatment flexibility
Thanks to specific patented elements, the machines for electric motor grinding are designed to be flexible in processing different types and sizes, up to a maximum of 40 kg.

The grinding cycle
The production layout is always designed together with the customer, adapting to the type of electric motor to be treated, the required hourly productivity, and the desired degree of separation.
The grinding cycle uses hammer mills, available in stationary or mobile configurations, which feed the material to subsequent separation systems. This allows ferrous and non-ferrous components to be recovered and enhanced, while separating them from inerts.
The refining cycle
The ground and deferrized copper leaving the grinding cycle can be directed to the End-of-Waste treatment for the complete removal of steels and inerts.
The process, entirely mechanical, takes place in-line through patented refiner mills and dedicated separation systems, producing perfectly clean copper, aluminium, and brass granules. The outputs are impurity-free and classified as secondary raw materials, ready to be reintroduced into production cycles.
